Delete Account & Data

Overview
Agently is designed with privacy in mind — most of your data lives on your device, not our servers. This page explains what data exists, where it lives, and how to delete it.
You can remove your data entirely in two ways: directly inside the app, or by emailing our support team.

We do not store your mobile money PIN, phone contacts, location, or personal messages.
Option 1 — Delete from Inside the App
The recommended way to delete your account. The in-app flow removes all data — both cloud and local — in one action:

Open Agently Launch the app on your Android device.

Go to Settings Tap the menu icon and select Settings.

Tap "Delete Account & Data" Scroll to the bottom of Settings. Confirm the warning dialog, then type DELETE to proceed.

Deletion completes automatically The app wipes all cloud data (backup, community content, marketplace listings, monitoring records, notifications), clears all local data (transactions, subscription, recovery code), and deletes your anonymous account. No uninstall required.
Option 2 — Email a Deletion Request
If you cannot access the app, email us and we will process your request within 7 business days.
Include in your email: your agent display name (if set). Since accounts are anonymous, this helps us locate your data. Specify if you want everything deleted or only specific data (backup, listings, etc.).
After Deletion
- All deletion is permanent and irreversible — there is no way to recover your data afterwards.
- Your anonymous Firebase account is deleted; you will be signed out and cannot restore any data.
- Community posts, comments, and marketplace listings are immediately removed from all other users' views.
- Anonymous analytics and crash-report data cannot be retroactively deleted because they contain no identifiers linking them back to you.
- An active Google Play subscription must be cancelled separately through the Google Play subscriptions page. Deleting your account does not cancel billing.
